The response has been tremendous.  Thank you all so much for reading our books.  We’ve received 5 stars across the board so far, except one 3 star from Shorea A. on Smashwords.  I have no way to contact her and hope she’ll find this blog.  Jay and I wanted to thank her for her comments.  We learn as we go and she’s given us something to improve on.

In short, Shorea is a big reviewer of books and called us out on some mistakes we made in the first book.  Mistakes we were unaware of and have since fixed.  We had a few malapropism and tense mistakes and she suggested that we should put the books through a professional proofreader.  She emphasized that she wanted to give us a 5 star rating, but for the distractions that the mistakes caused, but that she liked it and it was A GOOD BOOK (her words and emphasis).  She stated the story was good, character development was good, love scenes were steamy, the action scenes were great and there’s an original twist to the paranormal characters.

Her comment about ‘putting it through a professional proofreader’ got me thinking there might be some software out there for that.  With our backgrounds, we couldn’t justify hiring a professional to do it for us and, yes, we both missed a few things.  Shame, shame.  We’re actually embarrassed about it, but it’s better to suck it up and fixed it for our readers, which is what I’ve done.  Thanks to Shorea, I found the much needed software and now the books are even better!
